Welcome to Sticky!
With Sticky, you can manage all of your notes, tasks, and meetings in one place. Here’s a quick note to help you get started.
Creating a new note
To create a new note, click on the “+” button next to “Notes” in the sidebar on the left side of the screen, or use the keyboard shortcut “command + n”.
Editing notes with the toolbar
The toolbar at the top of the note screen provides quick access to text formatting options to add text headings, styles like bold, italic, underline, bulleted lists, numbered lists, and task lists.
Creating a new task
With Sticky, tasks can be created inside of a note or independently from notes.
To create a new task, click on the “+” button next to “Tasks” in the sidebar on the left side of the screen, or use the keyboard shortcut “command + t”.
To create a task inside of a note, click on the “Add task” button in the note toolbar, or use the one of these keyboard shortcuts:
- “/t” followed by return
- “” followed by the space bar
To add a date to a task, hover over the task and click on the “grabber” icon that appears to the left of the task to see scheduling options. Typing words in the task title like “today”, “tomorrow”, or “next week” will also add a date to the task.
A task can be scheduled in a few ways. When hovering over a task, clicking on the calendar icon on the left will display a calendar pop up with date options.
Dates can also be added with natural language when writing a new task or editing an existing task.
Create a meeting note
Creating a new meeting note in Sticky is as simple as clicking on a calendar event in the sidebar on the right side of the screen.
When a meeting note is created, Sticky pulls all the calendar information into the note automatically so you can start your next meeting without missing a beat.
Meeting information like the event title, attendees, date, time, and links to join Zoom or Google Meet are displayed at the top of the meeting note. It is also linked back to the original meeting in your calendar, in case you need to add someone or change your RSVP.
Adding follow up items to a meeting note
Sticky makes it easy to keep track of next steps and action items from meetings. Simply capture them in a task list and the task will automatically be linked to the meeting note.
See all of your tasks in one place
All of the tasks in Sticky will appear in the “Tasks” screen. This includes tasks created inside of notes and meeting notes, as well as tasks captured independently.
When a task is created inside a note, it is automatically linked to that note. Getting back to a note that a task is linked to is as easy as clicking on the note title that is displayed below the task title.
